Need to play more aggressively
Verduyckt, Johan - Van Essbroeck, Jeff 1-0
Zilveren Toren 2014 2014.02.14
Before we started to analyse this game, my coach Yelena Dembo said:"Against a player with lower rating you have to play more aggressivly and thrust yourself that you can outcalculated him".

Qd2 was better in this position but somehow I got distracted by wanting a rook on the d-file so I could take on e5, offcourse forgetting black may move aswell.

The start of a little combination of trying to win the Q. Also thought that if I dont do anything here I will get nowhere in this position. So I used the Dembo rule "If you want ...".

And my opponent cracks under the continue presure. In the resulting position I always am a full piece ahead.

Want to open the position for my Rook, afterall as long the two rooks are attacked I can take one when I decide to take one.
